Arbitration and Mediation
Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution method available to people who wish to resolve their legal matters outside of the Court; this can often save people a tremendous amount of time, stress and money.
Mediation Process
The mediation process is fairly simple. Both parties involved in the legal dispute will sit down with a trained mediator. The mediator has no decision-making power, but serves to help parties reach a conclusion that is mutually satisfactory. It is only when both parties agree to a proposed settlement that the dispute is settled. If the dispute cannot be settled in mediation, the Courts may have to be relied upon to solve the matter.
Mediation always takes place in a private, informal setting and is useful for resolving a number of legal matters, including:
- Family Law Matters (including divorce and child custody)
- Business Negotiations
- Contracts
- Business Disputes
- Personal Injury
- Civil Litigation
- Debt Collection
- Employment Law
- Medical Malpractice
- Real Estate
- And More
